ANNOUNCEMENT!!! SPREAD THE WORD!!!
Practice is cancelled tonight (February 17th) due to the heavy rain and dangerous conditions of the road. I believe some roads will also be blocked. We will see everyone next week, and for those adults going do the Mudansha Seminar this weekend... see you tomorrow!

Congratulations Song Choi Sensei !! First female 7-Dan in AUSKF!!!
This woman never complained when I was gone most nights, most weekends for Team USA. She always supported my kendo dream and told me not to worry about our family and just practice harder because she believed we could become champions. She always put me or our team ahead of her own kendo dreams, and I am so happy that she was able to achieve one of her own kendo goals today by passing 7-Dan!!

- applicant section: sign, date, and provide information to enable the shinsa advisory board to make an approval decision
- head instructor section: just sign and date (other information is intended for requesting ranks 4dan and below outside SCKF)
- deadline for SCKF signature is Sunday, 10/16/16
- hand in the application package (AUSKF application form, SCKF form, copy of menjo, written test, and check payable to All United States Kendo Federation) at the SCKF fall shinsa
- alternatively, mail the application package to

so it is received by 10/16, and also send email notification that the package is on the way
- SCKF will then handle:
- approval by Shinsa Advisory Board (do NOT contact them yourself)
- signature by SCKF president
- express mail to AUSKF
- an SCKF external shinsa application form will also need to be filled out

AUSKF All Japan Champion Seminar
Rentaro Kunitomo Sensei( FUKUOKA Police Department) who is a champion of All Japan Kendo Championship in 2019 will be visiting LA and hold a Kendo seminar.
You will learn the top level of KENDO as well as teaching techniques to raise strong kenshi at your dojo.
Date : Sunday, July 23nd (9:00-16:00)
Time: 9:00am - 4:00pm *Registration 8:00 - 8:45
Location : Cerritos( Don Knabe) community regional park gym

(*** If location is changed, you will be received the information before the seminar)
Participation fee ：$40(Cash or Check only) Pay on the seminar day at the registration table
Eligibility: Kyu and Dan , kenshi who wear the kendo-Gu.
Lunch : Bring your own lunch
